Another student asked me to publish their work. Check out Muhammad’s writing below.
Throughout this semester, I have gained important knowledge that has helped me become a better reader and writer. By using a variety of writing techniques, diverse texts, and critical thinking.
I have improved my ability to express my ideas clearly, think critically, and share my knowledge. These experiences have not only improved my academic skills but have also inspired me to start writing with confidence. One of the most meaningful lessons I have learned is the importance of growth and change. This course has developed my writing skills, allowing me to move from smaller paragraphs to well-written paragraphs. Reading books like Staying Strong and Puerto Rico taught me the value of being strong, feeling hopeful, and helping others who are in need. These lessons made a deep connection with me and influenced my writing style, making it more expressive.
I would like to discuss the book I read in my semester “ Staying Strong “ 2018 by Sandra I. Roman Chapter One — Remembering Hurricane Georges. The hardship she faced by sending the generator so that her family back home can have power at their house and live comfortably as after the hurricane they had no power. Second book i want to discuss about is “ PUERTO RICO STRONG” Thanks for Nothing by Tom Beland. It’s about the bitter reality of how the people of Puerto Rico are being treated as unknown citizens like they have no identity of their own in times when they actually need help and support after they were completely damaged by hurricanes.Published online 2022 Sep 23. doi: 10.5334/aogh.3869Links to an external site. The practical strategies introduced in this course, such as “Quick Writing” and “Deep Writing,” have resulted in a transformation. Quick Writing allows me to write freely without overthinking, while Deep Writing focuses on creating well-supported arguments using true sources that are trusted.
Tools like “Gale” have further polished my research skills, teaching me how to identify and use source full information effectively. In short, this course has provided me with valuable tools to improve my writing and critical thinking. I am looking forward to applying these lessons to my future academic and personal projects. To all of you reading this, I encourage you to follow the process of growth and discovery in your own writing journey it can lead to great changes that goes further from the boundary of the classroom.
